1st World Problems: The Gyro Winder

Modern problems require modern solutions.

My hobby starts with a loupe and a pair of tweezers, assembling mechanical watches using the Seiko NH movements to give as gifts. However, after building two custom pieces for my own daily rotation, I ran into a classic first-world problem: the tedious ritual of resetting the time and date every time I swapped watches.

To keep them ready for action, I designed and built an automatic gyro watch winder. It uses a multi-axis gimbal system to mimic the natural motion of the wrist, ensuring the mainspring stays wound while turning a functional utility into a sculptural centerpiece.
